Common Questions
Objections, answered before you ask them
"We're too small for this kind of system" +
Property Ops is built for companies with 50–500 units. If you have fewer than 50 units, DIY guide ($199) is a better fit. If you have more than 500, you should be looking at Buildium. In between, you're paying the manual tax — and we're the cheapest way to fix it.
"I already use software for some of this" +
We don't replace your tools — we connect them. If you already use QuickBooks, Xero, TenantCloud, or similar, we integrate with what you have. Property Ops sits on top and fills the gaps. You keep what works; we automate the rest.
"I don't want to hand over operations to an AI" +
You stay in control. Every automation has manual override. The system flags decisions (auto-reject an applicant, auto-charge a late fee) and you set the rules. We automate the repetitive execution, not the judgment calls. You approve the policy; the system executes it.
"How long does it really take to set up?" +
Two weeks from kickoff call to live. Week 1 is mapping your current processes and setting rules. Week 2 is building, testing, and training. Month 1 includes unlimited adjustments as you discover edge cases. After month 2, you're running with <2 hrs/week of operational overhead.
"What if it doesn't save us that much time?" +
If we don't recover at least 10 hrs/week in your first 60 days, we work free until we do. We track time saved from day one. The guarantee is simple: you get measurable time back, or the service is on us until you do.
"Can we build this ourselves with Zapier / Make?" +
You can — and we'll show you how. We offer a $199 DIY implementation guide that covers the architecture, tool stack, workflow blueprints, and template automations. If you're technically capable and have 20 hours to dedicate, it's the cheaper route. Most property managers don't have that time — that's why we built the done-for-you version.
